Lorelei left the Great Hall quickly after dinner, her bag shrugged up o n her back. It was really heavy, because she'd been to the library straight before dinner and she had checked out about a million books. She hurried down the flight of stairs that led to the Dungeons, which would lead to her common room. Thank God. She wasn't sure how long she could carry these books.
She ran her fingers through her dark hair as she spotted the door to the Common Room. Suddenly... all the lights went out! Lorelei tried her hardest not to scream. What if there was someone down here and she looked like a freak? But she heard a big bang directly after all the torches had gone out... and she shreiked. Her hand flew to her mouth, but she was still screaming inside. Why on the fricking world would the lights go out? Unless someone was trying to get her...
Calm down. You're being overdramatic. No one is trying to hurt you. Lorelei took her shaking hand from her mouth and picked her bag back up, which she had dropped, and tried to make her way through the dark... until she ran in to someone.

Only having a small dinner in the Great Hall, Saint made his way down to the Potions class to talk about the homework he didn't understand that night. After talking to the professor for about 20 minutes about nothing really and not really fixing what he didn't understand he soon left. Walking around the dungeon, looking for the steps. Just as Saint turned the conner the light around him soon went out. He froze. It was very dark and he tried not to scream. He thought he should still keep on walking, hopping to find the steps from memory, just then he felt someone run into him.
"Oh. Sorry Sorry." He said to the person he had ran into. Putting his hands in his jacket pocket he pulled out his wand and lit it, trying to see the face of the person that had bumped into him.

Lorelei felt a sigh of releif escape her lips as the person apolgized and lit his wand. If someone wanted t kill her, they wouldn't let themselves be seen right? Lorelei almost even wanted to be nice to the person, but that wasn't going to happen. Why didn't I think of lighting my wand? She thought, digging through her bag and following his example. Light now flooded the corridor even though the torches were still out. Lorelei gazed around the hall and realized there was no one there but the two of them.
Supposing that she should be nice to the guy--he had put her worst fears to rest--she gave him the tiniest smile in the world and said, "Well. That was scary." Lorelei wasn't particularly good at small talk, or any talk at all, really. She shifted her weight from left to right and said, "I'm Lorelei."

Seeing that who he had ran into was a girl, from the looks of her she looked to be some what close to his age. Maybe a year or two younger. She was the same height as him, seeing she was pretty tall. Seeing her soon light her wand as well, he could see a little more around them. They were the only two in the dark hall. Odd.
Hearing the girl say that it was kinda scary, Saint felt a small chuckle slip past his lips. "Yeah. Kinda. But not too bad. There are more scarier things in life. Like, spiders or falling from something very high." He sent a small smile back at the girl; who now called herself Lorelei, when he saw her tiny smile. "I'm Saint." He told her. Looking around them he could see nothing but darkness. It made him wounder if the whole school was in the dark or just the dungeon.

Lorelei shrugged and the smile left her lips again as he tried to comfort her. She didn't know what had gotten into her. SHe hated people. A little fright was not about to change that.
"It's great to meet you, Saint," she said, a bit of sarcasm tinged in her voice. She looked around them and knew that there would be no one to stop her if she left, but for some reason, she didn't want to leave the safety of his company. "So... what're you doing down here in the first place? she asked, studying her black-painted nails.

Seeing the smile that she had held on her face had vanished, Saint soon felt his leave his face as well. He could tell she might have been in the Slytherin house, hearing that their Common Room was in the dungeon, but never really finding it. Hearing that it was great to meet him as well, he could feel the taste of sarcasm in her voice.
Watching her looking down at her nails, he soon turned his eyes to look at his black and white checkered Vans. When she asked him what he was doing down in the dark dungeons, his eyes looked back up at her. "I had to ask a question about the homework I have in potions. But I didn't find the really problem I wanted to know." He eyes couldn't help but keep looking at hers, she was pretty, but someone like her had to had someone. Anyway, he felt like he was just dreaming, feeling she could never been into a guy like him.

Lorelei felt the small smile return to her lips as Saint kept talking to her even though she was being such a bitch. She gazed back at him in the dim light and said, "Oh well, that must be fun," she said a tad sarcastically again. Lorelei couldn't help but think how hot he was...

Seeing the small smile come back to Lorelei's face in the dim light, Saint felt his come back to his lips. He felt a laugh escape from his throat when he heard the small sarcasm again in her voice when she said that it much of been fun. "Oh, of course it was. Mostly when you know you are going to get a nasty grade on your paper." His eyes still looked at hers. She had such a gorgeous smile, and her eyes were so easy to get lost in.
Saint was soon taken away from her eyes has the lights around them flickered for a second than went back out. He sighed. "I have a feeling we are going to be stuck in the dark for a while." He didn't mind the dark, now that he knew he had someone who he could talk to.

Lorelei felt a small flicker of hope both as the lights flickered on and as Saint seemed to be the first person in a while not to run away at the first sign of a fight with her, and though the former was quickly demolished, the latter still seemed reluctant from leaving her in the dark, in more ways than one.
She sighed and broke her eyes away from his, at the same time breaking a spell. But her bag was starting to annoy her, and she needed to sit down. She sighed again as her back hit the stone cold wall and she slid down to the concrete floor, staring around as far as the light of her wand would let her look. She felt like an idiot, afraid of the dark like she was. She knew she was an idiot from breaking her trance from Saint, because after tonight, he would probably never talk to her again, like so many other people at this God-forsaken school. She sighed and looked up at him. She was surprised to see him still standing.
"You know, there isn't like, a lack of space or anything down here," she said, gesturing around them. "I really don't think any teacher's going to come around and yell at us for loitering in the hallways," she said, smiling up at him in spite of herself.

The only light being from his wand, Saint could see that they where still alone in the dark hallway. It was kind of a scary feeling to be the only two people in the dark dungeon. As if there was someone else hiding in the shadows, but if there was, they would have shown them selfs by now. Seeing Lorelei move to sit down on the floor ageist the wall.
Looking down at her, he started to think if he would ever see her again, she was a pretty girl, she was also very cute. And for a Slytherin she was kind to him. Hearing her say that there wasn't a lack of space, he felt a laugh slip past his lips. Saint soon moved himself down to the floor as well, sitting beside her. His back touched the cold wall and he smiled again at her. Looking into her eyes again the the tiny light from their wands, he felt like he couldn't leave them. "You have very pretty eyes." He told her in a soft voice. He hoped this wouldn't be their last time together.

At first, Lorelei that he was joking. There was no way he was being serious. No one had given her a compliment since... well, since someone had given her a compliment that got her into bed with him. But hearing the words come out of Saint's mouth, she knew he was being serious. She held his gaze and gave him a quick smile. "You wanna know something? You're the first person in a long time who's been nice to me. I know that sounds like something a little kid would say, but..." She shrugged against the wall and looked down at her Rocket Dogs, breaking their gaze. Even though she was scared half to death because of the dark, she felt semi-happy for the frist time in years, and she had barely known Saint for fifteen minutes. She never wanted this night to end. She felt so full of emotion that she thought she could cry, but she wouldn't let herself cry in front of him, or anyone, for that matter. She bit her bottom lip and contiued to look down, a curtain of dark hair shielding her face.

Seeing her gave him a small smile after he had gave her a compliment, Saint felt a smile as well come to his lips. Her smile was so gorgeous to him. Listening to her say that he was the first person in a long time to be nice to her, and that it kinda sounded like something a child would say. He grinned at her, but then saw her gaze look down at her shoes. He could see she was a sweet girl deep down, and even if they had only been talking for a short while, he didn't want to leave her.
Seeing her face still looking down, her dark hair shielding her face like a curtain. Saint smiled at her and moved some of her dark hair out of her face. "Hiding?" He asked her with a small chuckle, his eyes trying to meet hers again. God, she was acting so cute, his smile never wanted to leave from his face.

As soon as she felt his fingers touch her hair, Lorelei thought she would abosolutely die. She loved it. She never wanted the feeling to leave, but inevitably, he took away his hand and asked her if she was hiding. In a sense, she was. She was hiding from him, because she made her... not herself. She was different around him. He was breaking her out of her shell. Ever since all that stuff happened... she couldn't bear to think about it. But even though her brain had barely landed on the subject, she felt a tear slip out of her eye. She didn't get rid of it, though. No matter what had happened all these years, she had never once cried. Maybe Saint was here for a reason, to let her know that yeah, maybe it was okay to cry. She still didn't let a floodgate open. She only, queitly, let a few tears flow down her cheeks. She was afraid if she said anything to him, the opening in her throat would let that knot of tears out, so she didn't.
It felt like it was getting a lot colder down here than she would have liked. She drew her knees up to her chest and wrapped her hands around them, hugging them there. Despite her tears, the dark, and the cold, she never wanted to leave this place. She was happy.

Hearing her not say anything when he asked her if she was hiding, Saint felt another grin come to his face. Lorelei made him feel so different, the feeling he felt around her was different than how he would feel to other girls. But he didn't mind it, the feeling was something he loved and never wanted it to go away. He soon saw tears start to make there way down her cheeks. It would always kill him inside when he would see a girl cry, it was a painful thing to see. Saint's hand soon went to her cheek as his thumb brushed the tears off her cheeks.
Soon seeing her look like she was getting cold, Saint did have to agree with her on that, as the dungeons were pretty cold. Without giving a second thought to it, his arm soon wrapped across her shoulders, as he held her close to him. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, this was an amazing feeling he was feeling when he was around Lorelei and he never wanted it to go away. "You okay?" He asked her as the tears that had fallen across her cheek did make him wounder why she was crying.

Lorelei felt her skin set on fire where Saint wiped the tears away, and felt her heart beat in her chest so loudly that she was sure he could hear it. She felt immediately better, warmer, safer, in his arms. Worried that she would be going too far, but not worried enough to not do it, she rested her head on his shoulder. "Yeah." she said, sighing, wiping the remainder of the moisture off her face on the back of her hand. "Yeah, I'm fine." She felt a soaring feeling in her chest as they sat there. She hoped that she wasn't being insane. He probably thought she was a freak and after tonight, she doubted they would ever talk again. But for now, this would do. If one night of happiness was what she was granted, then she would take it and run. "Y'know, I think this is the best night of my entire life. You know, in spite of the freezing cold and pitch black. But otherwise..."
