Lorelei woke up early that Saturday morning. Early, that is, for her. It was really already 10 o' clock but she never got up that early on the weekends. She sighed as she rolled out of bed, and realizing that no one was in the dorm anymore, she yawned and stretched. She grabbed a "Killers" T-shirt and a black skirt and changed quicky. She grabbed a hair tie and fashioned a loose bun that half-way hung down in a ponytail. She swiped on some mascara and eyeliner, grabbed her school bag, and headed for the door. The common room was completely packed. She waved to a few people as she made her way out, but didn't stop to talk to anyone.
It took her a while to pick where she wanted to go, but she settled on the gardens outside the school's doors. She hated the outside, really, but today was a rainy day, and she loved the rain. She also knew the garden would be totally empty, and she just wanted some time to herself today. She made her way to a small bench and sat herself down on it, opening her schoolbag and taking out a sketchpad and a black sharpie.
In just a half an hour, she'd doodled three whole pages full. She sighed again, for what seemed the millionth time that morning, and put the sketchpad back in the bag. She leaned her head back on the bench, face facing the pouring rain. She didn't care if her makeup ran. She didn't care if her hair got messed up. She needed salvation. And she knew it.

Charlie Ross!
Charlie sighed. The ceiling was just not as enticising as it had been a half hour ago.The pale boy with dark locks of hair had awoken only a half hour ago,but to lazy, and too tired to get up he had decided that he would rather not get up and that it would be more fun to stare at the ceiling.Which was what he had been doing. At the time it sounded like an alright idea.No moving involved. But it turned out a half hour later after trying to find shapes and objects in the ceiling parts, that it was not so fun. That it was more boring then just laying there. He squeezed his eyes shut, and pulled his blankets, which were twisted around his legs, and the rest of his body.He pulled them up to cover his face in attempt to hide under them.To hide from the bright lights and go back to sleep. He sighed miserably. The light shined right through it.It wasn't the sunligh. It was the overhead light. The last person awake, that had left had not turned off the light. He would bitch about that to the other people he shared his dorm with later on.He pushed the blankets off him this time, and attempted to get out of his bed.But the sheets were wrapped around his body too tight, and he fell off the bed, sheets and all.A loud bang could be heard once he hit the floor."Dammit."He said aloud, not caring if anyone was in here. But he figured no one was.He hadn't heard anyone since he awoke,a half hour ago.And no one was laughing at him when he fell.He rolled onto his back, the cold floor seeping the cold into his bare chest. The only thing he wore to bed were boxers and pajama bottoms. He sighed again, and it took him ten minutes to get out of the tangle of sheets that seemed as if they were out to kill him.Once he was out of the sheets he picked them up and put them on top of his bed,and glanced at the clock across from his bed, above some other boys.It was almost eleven in the morning.Charlie glanced around the room.He had been correct in thinking no one else was in here. They were probably out and about doing something. He then changed into a pair of jeans and glancing arond he around he found a shirt on the floor.Looking at it he had no clue whose it was.Not that he cared much.He put it on.It was a long sleeve shirt.Just plain black. He grabbed his zip up jacket off his bed post and put it on,zipping it up as far as it would go.It was black and purple stripped. He loved it.Charlie glanced around for some socks. Not finding any,he fell to the floor and found some under his bed next to his shoes.Putting both his socks and shoes on.He combed his hair, and checked how he looked in the mirror.
Charlie headed out the door of his dorm only to come back a few minutes later.Running back in,knowing now he had forgotten something. He glanced around and grabbed his cigarrettes and lighter off his bed stand and slipped out a cigarrette and lit it,then placed the pack and lighter in his back pocket. He turned and head out the door again of his dorm.Through the Ravenclaw common room, thinking about the piano in the Main Common Room, longing for it even.He sighed, and breathed in his cigarrette.In,out.Inhale.Exhale.Inhale.Exhale.He sighed and once he had finally reached the ground floor,he quickly made his way to the doors.Opening them he let out a grunting sound, through the cigarrette in his mouth, for both his hands were busy pushing open the door.He shut the door behind him with a loud bang, and threw his cigarrette on the ground. He stepped on it.And just then did he notice that it was raining."Yay."The words passed his lips carelessly. He loved the rain.He pulled up his hood anyhow, because he loved his hair as well.Charlie quickly walked towards the most beautiful place that existed when it rained and when it didn't.The Gardens. He found them and entered quickly, only to slow his pace down when he saw someone already in there. He neared her,he didn't know her exactly. But he'd seen her around school.Uhmm.He didn't know her name though.Lauren...Leslie...Lana...Did it even start with an L?He shook his head, and then when he had finally reached her,he leaned on the wall across from her. There wasn't much space between them.Maybe a foot. But Charlie didn't really care."Heyy."Charlie said to her,the word passed between his lips, and dragged on a bit.And it seemed whispered.Perhaps breathless. But Charlie didn't care.

Lorelei looked up in surprise as she heard an almost-voice extremely close to her. She gazed in his eyes for a second, trying to recoginze him. She'd seen him around school once or twice, and she knew he was in Ravenclaw, though she had no idea even what his name was or what year he was in. She set her gaze firmly in front and didn't say anything for a moment. "Hi," she finally replied, her voice sounding huge in comparison to the silence, and his. Lorelei honestly didn't even feel like talking but she didn't think the kid was going away any time soon. She set her lips in a firm hard line and kept gazing forward, and when he still wouldn't go away, she said, "Do you need something? Or do you just feel like sitting here saying nothing?"
Lorelei crossed her arms in front of her chest and sighed, feeling surpressed and a little claustrophobic, since he was sitting so close to her. She was feeling a little irritated, but she also didn't feel like getting in a fight, and truthfully, she was a tad bit glad for the company.

It had all started with that freak show, Saint, and ever since then, Alex had been noticing all new trend among some of the other students. Greasy black combed down over their eyes, make up, finger nails painted, and clothing which as far as Alex was concerned, could have went both ways. It was getting harder and harder to tell the girls from the guys and vice versa, yet another glorious downfall of wizarding society as a whole. It had started with the acceptance of muggles and the ridiculous idea of hiding from them and then the battle between the blood lines and now it was moving on into the acceptance that everybody was perfectly equal and on the same footing. Everyone was meshing together, becoming the same creature, despite their best efforts to deny that fact and call themselves different.
Of course, Alex wasn't really dressed to pure blood standards, a pair of faded blue jeans and a white tee shirt with black boots. On his left hand were two silver rings, one on his thumb and the other on his middle finger, both engraved with some sort of runes or what not. Around his neck was a simple rope necklace pulled tightly at his throat with an odd sort of bauble which meant something only Alex knew and understood. His general appearance was American in every meaning of the word and this sometimes ostracized him from the rest of his group and by group I mean the Slytherin house. Of course, he still had enough clout and rep to hold his own, plus he had an ace in the hole, one by the name of Natalie Bane.
Moving on with the situation at hand, Alex watched the two before him, the girl, who was a Slytherin, had been sketching from what Alex could surmise of the moment was now in an early and seemingly awkward conversation with the guy. The rain didn't seem to bother either one, despite their inability to cast a simple spell which would protect them from the drenching water. Alex on the other hand, had cast the spell on himself long before heading out into the rain, as any intelligent person would.
Leaning up against a pillar, Alex crossed his arms and watched the silence which passed between the two before him. Both the girl and the guy seemed like they didn't have a coherent thought between them, however, the girl did seem a bit more collected. Alex had learned that girls always had something going on in their heads, even if they didn't act like it and on a side note, Alex hoped the lack of conversation on her part was because of lack of interest in the guy. "Well," Alex finally said after realizing this conversation was going nowhere, "If your wanting a conversation, then I really doubt this winner here is going to give you anything worth your while," he said, flashing a smile in Lorelei's direction, not even giving Charlie the time of day.

Lorelei looked up as soon as she heard a voice somewhere behind her, and sighed in releif as she saw Alex, a guy in Slytherin. She was so thankful to get away from the other guy, that she turned to converse with him. "Well, If your wanting a conversation, then I really doubt this winner here is going to give you anything worth your while Lorelei gave a wicked smile and sighed dramatically. "I know. It seems he hasn't got half a wit in his head." Lorelei knew she was being mean... but hey, that was her thing. She would much rather talk to someone she semi-knew than the really weird random person. "I guess you're my knight in shining armor," she said alluringly, and winked. She picked up her bag and quite rudely stood up, sneered in Charlie's face, and made her way over to Alex.
She noticed that he was completely dry, and noticed that he probably thought she was a freak for sitting there and getting soaked. Of course, Lorelei immediately ignored the thought. "So," she said, when she was stading beside him, her arms still crossed in front of her. "What are you even doing out here, if you hate the rain so much?"

Corruption was a beautiful thing, especially when someone gave into it so easily. Slytherins were usually the first to find their darkest and most selfish desires and always the first to give into them. Resisting wasn't something the Slytherin crowd was known for, they knew what they wanted and did anything within their power to get there, it was what made them so successful in life. Of course, this determination was also their biggest weakness, but try and convince that to any Slytherin and you'd most likely end up on the wrong end of their wands.
Lorelei turned on her little conversationalist rather quickly, almost as if she was ashamed to be with him, and for her sake, Alex hoped she was. Reputation and appearance was everything in their house and one false step or wrongly spoken word to the wrong person would label you a traitor and outcast quicker than anything. So, in Lorelei's defense, she did the right thing by abandoning Charlie and taking to Alex's side, but hey, what girl wouldn't make that choice if presented with it? After all, Alex was a step above the other guys here, especially those who looked as they just wanted to get the pants off the girls so they themselves could wear them, I mean, Saint had already pointed that fact out.
Alex looked Lorelei over as she approached him and while she really wasn't his type, she still had a way about her. She was a tad too skinny for his taste, but her eyes held an allure about them that kept him at ease. Sure, she looked a bit younger than him, but not by much, maybe a year or two, but who knew, maybe he was wrong about that one. She struck up conversation with him easy enough and unlike Charlie, Alex was a bit more charismatic and knew how to steer a conversation.
Glancing up at the falling rain, Alex smiled again and shrugged his shoulders, "Just because I like to keep dry doesn't mean I hate the rain," he said as his baby blue eyes fell back to Lorelei, "besides, everyone knows the best place to find the prettiest things are in the garden," he said, lowering his head just slightly to get a better look into Lorelei's eyes.
