History
(Two paragraph minimum, go in dept) Alex comes from a long and prestigious line of pure bloods from two different continents. His mother, Elmira, is from Stratford-Upon-Avon England and is a lady in every aspect of the word. His father, Samuel, hails from New England and while appearing to be nothing more than a business savvy tycoon, is in reality quite the prosperous dark arts dealer. His parents met while Samuel was on a buying trip in England and as every other man who laid eyes on Elmira, he became instantly entranced with her.
After a world wind courtship, Alex's parents were married and Samuel moved to England, at his bride's request. The two would enjoy three years together before Elmira would become pregnant. Alex became his mother's most prized possession and like most fathers, Samuel found pride in having a son to pass his knowledge down to. No expense was spared in Alex's raising and the best tutors money could buy were brought in to ready him for schooling at Hogwarts.
Being an only child and raised in his father's image, Alex developed quite an arrogant personality, one his father groomed with precision. A fine taste for both material and physical things grew as Alex did and while he was fiercely determined, Alex never wished to be something he couldn't handle. Having power was easy, but keeping it was the real trick, something his father taught him early. So, with such words, Alex figured he could safely reach a standing in which he wasn't fully in charge, but high enough to enjoy most of the power.
Sample Role-Play Alex had a habit of being an early riser, always did, something he took after his mother. As soon as the sun rose, whether he could see it or not, Alex woke up. Call it a perfectly timed internal clock or just a freak of nature, either way, it just happened. Today of course, was not different, except for the smile on his face long before he woke. He had only a few hours of actually sleep, but considering the reason for his late night endeavors, then you'd understand. He and Lola had shared a bit of bliss, even if only for a little bit and he had discovered a diamond in the rough if you will. Even as he sat on the edge of his bed, rubbing the back of his head, he still couldn't believe that he had missed her all these years.
Clearing his throat, Alex got up and went about his morning routine, brushing his teeth and taking a cold shower. Next he picked out his clothes, relieved that it was the weekend and that no classes were scheduled. That meant casual clothes today and while he might opt for more than casual, he didn't go all out. He picked out a pair of faded blue jeans and boots with a long tight black sleeve tee. A bit overkill on the muggle look, but oddly enough he really didn't care. He didn't give a crap about muggles, but had to admit he liked some of their clothing, it just looked good on him, but then again, what didn't? He rubbed his thumb along the rim of the small box which sat on his trunk at the foot of the bed and muttered something in Latin, which caused the small box to open. He pulled out two silver rings, slipping one on his thumb and middle finger of his right hand. The story behind these little trinkets were as secretive as the story behind the odd bauble which hung from the rope necklace around his neck.
Stopping in front of the full length mirror next to the door of his dorm, Alex ran his hand through his hair, checked his breath and set out through the common room, heading to the Great Hall and his breakfast date, one Lola Bane. He merited a few sneers from some of his comrades due to his dress and well...just from his regular appearance. Alex wasn't exactly top of the food chain around the school, but he really didn't try, for being the most popular in school, didn't mean crap in the real outside world. Alex kept just enough social standing to be on the guest list of every party coming and going, all of which he hated.
He moved through the dungeons with speed, almost taking each step as if it was second nature and to be honest, after six years, it was. He climbed the stairs to the main floor of the castle and took a left, heading toward the Great Hall. He neared the entrance just in time, smiling as he laid eyes on his date for the day.
