Waking up to the sound of a noise alarm clock, Saint rolled over on his side and turned it off. Letting his hand hang over the edge of the bed, he gave a small sigh. Each new day felt like a night mare, Saint just wanted to hide in his room forever and never come out. He hated seeing the facing of happy people at times, as he was less then happy now. Life was so different to him now when he didn't talk to Lorelei. He would see her walk pass in now and then in the hallway and he would see her in the Great Hall every meal. He wished he could talk to her, but felt he couldn't anymore.
Looking over at the window in the dorm, he saw that the bright sun was shinning out of it and leaving small shadows from his bad around the room. Sitting up slowly, he saw that he was the only one in there, he guessed others had gone out in the nice weather for the day. Giving a sigh he crawled out of the bed and walked to his dresser. Pulling out a clean black shirt and jeans, he put them on and headed for the bathroom. He washed his face and combed his black hair some. Looking that himself in the mirror for a long time, he started to think. Maybe he could sit in the Common Room for a bit. He knew there wouldn't be too many people in there today, and he could maybe talk to someone.
Leaving the dorm, he walked down the stairs to the Common Room. Seeing that there wasn't too many people in there, Saint made his way over to a sofa that sat next to the fire place. There wasn't a fire started in it yet, but he had a feeling by night time there would be one. Looking around, he watched as people came in a out of the Common Room; sighing softly to himself as he did.

Noa had just gone out for a run. The morning had been brisk and pleasent, and she needed to start getting in shape for Quidditch tryouts. She had left at five in the morning and come back at about seven. No one was awake yet, so she crept back upstairs and crawled in bed, falling back to sleep instantaneously. She was woken once again by the light of the sun drifing into the dorm room. It was too hot under all these covers! She rolled out of bed, checking the clock. She'd slept 'till eleven. That may have the latest she'd ever slept in. Noa rummaged through her dresser and picked out a long-sleeved white shirt and a pair of beat-up, bleached jeans. She went into the bathroom to take a shower and get changed. She threw on some makeup and placed her contacts in her eyes. She still wasn't used to shoving her finger into her eyes.
Noa grabbed her blue tote bag and hurried downstairs. She wasn't going to eat breakfast today. She needed to catch up on some homework, so she was going to have to stay in the Common Room and make herself study, even though the thought of food was tempting. It was bright and sunny in the tower this morning. She sat at one of the big comfy chairs and took out a book and a piece of parchment. She started the assignment, but she couldn't concentrate enough to finish it. She looked up to survey the mostly empty room. There was Saint, a boy in her year, even though she never really had talked to him before. Today, he looked depressed, and she hated seeing anybody depressed.
She moved across the room to where he was sitting. She sat directly across from him. She pulled her knees up to her chin and propped her elbows up on them, cupping her chin in her hands. "Hi," she said, smiling. "What's wrong?" She cocked her head curiously to one side. She wasn't very discreet about it. She was always blunt.

His eyes looking around the Common Room once more, he sighed again. Drumming his finger from his left hand on the arm of the sofa, he watch people moving around him. His eyes soon turned to a blond girl that had moved not too long ago to the air chair across from her. He had seen her around before and she had been in many of his classes, he knew her name, but never had really spoke to her. Hearing her ask him if something was wrong, Saint bit his lip and shook his head.
"I'm just...not myself today." He told Noa, looking at her resting her chin in her hands, Saint looking down into his lap. "Just a little...unhappy. Life has changed for me." He spoke to her again. Looking back at her, he tried to put on a friendly smile, he hated to be down and unhappy in front of people. It wasn't a nice thing to do and he hated when others that he didn't know to well would do it to him.

Noa tilted her head to the side, frowning a little. She hated it when people were out of sorts and upset, and when she left Saint today, she planned on him being a happy camper. She opened her eyes big and stared sympathetically at him. She sighed and said, "Really? That sucks." Noa knew that not much could make a guy this unhappy, other than death and girls, and if it was death, he wouldn't be out of bed. "Is all this about a girl?" Noa wasn't one to soften things and try to make it sound like she wasn't asking. She wanted everyone to know that yes, indeed she was butting into your business and what are you going to do about it? Noa jiggled her foot up and down and continued to try and make eye contact with Saint, although he wouldn't really look back at her. She had to be content with letting him come out with it slowly but she knew that eventually he'd tell her what was going on. It may take some time, but Noa had an "attract flies to honey" quality about her that made people want to talk to her about things. She just had to look innocent and smile sweetly and all would be well.

Saint eyes still looking into his lap, he tried to shake the sad feeling off. His eyes soon shot back at Noa when she asked him if all his sadness was about a girl. Bitting his lip, he nodded. "Yes...it is about a girl." He guessed it was pretty easy to tell, Saint was never a one to be sad about anything in life, even if it was a sad time in his life, most of the time he could forget about it. But this, this large movement in his life was really killing him a lot.
"She broke up with me..say she didn't to be with me no more. I thought she loved me, but she said she never did. I know I should just move on...but...I thought I loved her too...she was different than most girls I have been with before...and I liked that about her." He tried to meet Noa's eyes as he spoke. She had this cute, sweet smile on her face. He couldn't help but feel a small smile come to his lips when he saw it. He felt he could tell Noa anything and she would listen to him.

Noa just sat and listened as Saint ranted, nodding at certain points and feeling really bad for him. She gave him a weak smile and tried to convey through her eyes that she felt for him. "Wow," she said when he was done. "That really sucks. Do you even know why she would do something like that... just out of nowhere? I hate it when you think someone loves you but then they just turn around and pretend your relationship meant nothing." She was connecting with him on this. It had happened to her so many times she couldn't keep count anymore. "She'd be crazy to leave you, though. Maybe it was for the best."

Listening to Noa speak of how it just came out of no where and how it did suck. Hating to think about what the last thing she said was true, Saint thought more about it. Maybe she was right, maybe it was for the best that they had broken up and don't speak to each other anymore. He hated to think it. Cause deep down he still love Lorelei with all his heart. But she said she didn't feel the same for him anymore. Maybe it was best to move on. Even on how hard it was to.
"Maybe your right...maybe it was for the best. Maybe Lorelei and I are not meant to me. I hate to think it...but if it is meant to be...I guess I will just have to move on." Looking back at Noa, Saint smiled at her and nodded. Maybe moving on would be best. Anyway, their had to be someone out there for him. And maybe he didn't know she could be right under his nose.
