Lorelei fell back on the grass, content. She didn't really mind that he was older, she just needed to know what she was getting herself into. "Oh. I'm in fifth." she said. Lorelei was glad that it was only a two year difference, to be honest. If she were any younger, she knew he wouldn't want her, and that would break her heart.
Lorelei grabbed his arm and rolled over on top of him. Now she was the one staring down at him, blocking his gaze of the clouds. "Ha, ha. Tackled by a girl!" She was in a rare playful mood, and she didn't want to let the opportunity go to waste. She quickly jumped off of him, took off her shoes, and started running around in the grass. "Betcha can't catch me!" she taunted when she was a few yards away, sticking her tounge out at him again.

Hearing she was only in fifth made him feel better about it. Saint was glad that Lorelei wasn't any younger, he had a feeling it might have been a little odd. But he didn't have to worry about thinking about that, cause the age she was was perfect to him. Feeling her grab hold of his arms and rolled them over so that now she was on top. He now couldn't see the clouds, but this didn't bother him, he liked not being able to see them and only see her pretty face.
He laughed when she said he was tackled by a girl 'Just don't tell anyone" He joked with her as he grinned. She soon got off of him and kicked off her shoes, sitting up some he watched her start to run across the grass. He laughed when he heard her comment about not being able to catch her. Getting to his feet he started after her. "Thank again!" He stuck his tongue back at her playful. He liked being with Lorelei and just playing like this.

Lorelei loved the way she didn't have to put on that tough exterior with Saint. She could be fun and silly and free and he never judged her. Sure, she'd only known him a day, but she could tell that this was going to be okay between them. If anybody could make her smile the way he did, it had to be a match made in heaven.
Lorelei's long legs took her back in front of Saint in just a few seconds flat. "Oh, yeah?" she taunted, bouncing up in down in front of him. "I dare you to try." She kissed him, to get him a little disoriented, and ran away to the far side of the lawn again.

Saint felt a laugh slip past his lips as he ran after her. She was just too cute. Being with Lorelei, Saint could be as silly as he wanted to can she would be fine with it. He felt like he had something amazing with Lorelei and he hoped it would never end. She soon made her way back in front of him for a second.
Watching her jumping up and down in front of him, Saint felt he had his chance to grab her. When her lips touched his again then run off again. Saint had a shocked look on is face. "Oh! Now you are being too mean!" He laughed again and ran after her. She was pretty faster then him, but he was not going to give up. He would soon get her. "I'm going to win!" He called to her as he was about a foot or two away from her.

Lorelei heard him close behind her. She hated to lose. That was one of her ticks. She absolutely could not lose, especially if it was someone she was close to, because they had more of a chance to taunt her about it. Lorelei stopped dead in her tracks as a bad memory crept into her head.
She was fourteen. It was the summer before her fourth year at Hogwarts. She was young and naiive and playful, not the person she is now. And she was running around like this with someone she had thought she loved, someone who had taken her heart into his hands and squeezed it until it broke. This was before everything went bad, before he became abusive. She was running around, taunting him, winning. And she loved him. She truly and honestly did. If only her fourteen year old self could see into the future, see how much he had ruined her life.
She was woken from her reverie from the sound of Saint in the very, very close distance. She knew she had to move, or else he'd run smack into her. She moved a few long paces forward and sat on a bench at the end of the field. What if her relationship with Saint ended up like it had with him. She didn't know if she could handle that again. She wanted so bad to beleive that it wouldn't happen... but it was possible. She'd been proven that time and time again. She was aware that he was still here, but there was nothing she was going to do about it. She put her head in her hands and told herself, "I can't do this," under her breath.

Saint felt like he was very close to her, but then she soon stopped. Saint came to a stop as well, waiting for her to start running again. He felt it only far to wait and not win so easy. He didn't know why she had stopped, maybe she was taking a break and need to stop for a second. He watched her for a second as he tried to get his breath back from running so fast. Looking up at the clouds again he took in a deep breath.
Once he looked back at Lorelei again he saw she had moved from her spot and was now sitting on a bench, her head in her hands. This didn't seem right. It was like something was really bothering her. It started to make Saint worry. Walking over to her, he sat down on the bench beside her and watched her. He heard her speaking in a soft voice, saying that she couldn't do this. "Can't do what?" He felt very worried. He really did like Lorelei a lot and he thought she had liked him too. He lightly put his hand on her shoulder and looked at her.

Lorelei felt a chill run through her as Saint approached and heard what she had said. She wasn't going to lie and say she hadn't said anything, because clearly, he had heard. She looked up at him, her eyes distressed. She wasn't going to cry or anything, not again, but she needed to tell him, and she needed to tell him now, or else this was going to keep happening until she went insane.
"I don't know if I can do this whole... relationship thing, Saint! The last time I was in a relationship..." she took a deep breath. "The last time I was in a relationship, it went great, for a while, like it is for us now. But then.... I don't even know how he got me to do it, but... we had sex! I was fourteen! And then he started abusing me. I hadn't thought anything would go wrong then, but it did. It went terribly wrong. I used to be fun. I used to like to be outside and do stuff and be with other people. But he... he made it suck for me, you know? And I just don't know if I could go through that again."
Lorelei felt ashamed but releived at the same time. She knew it would probably hurt him that she felt this way, even thought about this, but she needed to let him know about her doubts. It wasn't fair to him to start a relationship on lies. He was also the first person she'd ever told about this, even before her dad.
"You could just do so much better than me, Saint. I just want you to be happy." She looked down at her lap, ashamed.

Saint listened to her, he wanted to know what was wrong and if there was anything he could do. Hearing her tell him about her past relationship and how it had changed her. How she thought it was good at first but then it all went down hill after they had sex. Hearing that he had abused her and changed her from being happy about life to hate it. He hated to heard how she was treated like this. Guys like the guy she had been with in the past made other guys look bad. He hated how other guys would treat girls like this, it was a nightmare.
Hearing her say he could do better and she wanted him to be happy. Seeing Lorelei looking down into her lap, Saint gently put his finger under her chin and lifted her face to look a him. "But with you, Lorelei, I am happy. I know your past was something that messed up everything. Guys like your ex makes other guys look bad. But not all guys are like him. Trust me. I would never hurt you and having sex is the last thing on my mind. I like being with you Lorelei. You make me feel happy, you can make me smile. I really did want this to work." He told her truthfully, looking into her eyes. He did like her and did want to be with her, he just hope she knew.

Lorelei stared into his eyes as he promised not to do anything to hurt her, and somehow, she knew it was true. She had never had a good relationship in her entire life, but if she didn't start trying, then she knew she wouldn't ever.
"I trust you, Saint," she said truthfully, after mulling it over for a second. "And I really like you, too. But for this to work, I needed to tell you that. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. But y'know what? You're the only person who has been able to make me smile in a whole year." Lorelei breathed in deeply, letting the breath out slowly. She laid her head on his shoulder and said quietly, "You're the first person I've ever told that, even before my dad." She moved closer to him, letting their bodies melt together.

Hearing Lorelei say she trusted him and that she really liked him too. He listened to her say she was sorry if she did hurt his feelings but he was the only person that had made her smile. He smiled at her and held her close to him as she layed her head on his shoulder. "Well. I can keep it a secret if you want me to." He smiled at her again and held her close to him. He liked the feeling of being close to her. Saint felt so happy with her, more happy then he had ever been.
As he sat with Lorelei something came to him. The something that he thought she should know. She had told him what had been on her mind and how her life had changed. He was kinda scared to tell her, but he knew he needed to. But how would she take it? Would she still like him and want to be with him? "Lorelei." He said in a whisper like voice, as if he only wanted her to hear, even if they were the only two out. "I need to tell you something if you promise it won't change anything." This was so hard; he could feel his heart kinda beating fast. He hopped she wouldn't run.

Lorelei sat up with him. She had to admit, this was a little bit out of no where. But he had listened to her ramble, and now it was her turn. She turned toward him so that she could look at him full in the face. "Saint, you can tell me anything. If you can put up with a messed up girl like me, I don't think anything will change the way I feel for you." Lorelei knew that she was being honest, but what if it was something really big, like... he had a kid, for instance. She knew that most likely was not true, but hey. She was not a kid person. Still, deep down, she knew even that would not change aything. It would have to be bigger than that to faze her. "I'm all ears, baby."

Watching Lorelei turned to face him, Saint felt a smile come to his face when she said he could tell her anything and that it couldn't change how she felt about him. He felt his heart still pounding in his chest. What if she change her mind tho. He didn't think she would, but what if she did. Hearing her speak again that she was all ears. Saint smiled again and nodded.
Taking in a deep breath he began. "Okay. I hate to say it but I'm different. Well..everyone is different, yes. But I am most different then others. I hate to even think or say I am cause to tell you the truth I am very scared of me because of it. Well, I'm not scared of me...but..of what I can be." Saint felt like he was just rambling on, like he wasn't making any scents at all. "What I'm trying to tell you is that..." He took in a deep breath. Saint hated to even say the word, or even think about it. They did scare him a lot and he never wanted to except that he was one. "Lorelei...I'm...I'm a werewolf.." He felt like he could cry. He had never really told anyone that he was, no one knew. Not even the people he had lived with after his mum died. He hoped she wouldn't scream or run and not talk to him.

Well. Yeah. That was a little much to think about all at once. It was pretty huge. I mean... he was a werewolf. That would go under her category as "Huge, but not too huge to be afraid of". Yeah, it was scary, but she could deal. She took a look at his face and saw his eyes getting all big and teary. She hated, hated, absolutely hated it. She laid down on his chest and stretched out her legs behind her. "Hey." she murmered into his chest. She couldn't look at his sad face, or else she was going to cry. "It's okay, Saint. I don't care. I really, really don't care. I'll be there with you every month when you change to protect you, if I have to. Nothing you could change into could change what I feel about who you are."
As the words left her mouth, she knew every one of them was true. If he could love the monster inside of her, she could love the monster inside of him.

Saint waited to hear or see her reaction, he felt his get a little bit watery, but he tried to hold back tears. Closing his eyes for a second, to whip the tears out of his eyes, he soon felt her face hide in his chest. Opening his eyes back up when she started to speak, he listened really close to her. Hearing she didn't care about him being this way and it didn't change how she felt about him. He felt a small smile come to his face. Lorelei was amazing to him, she could see that he was no different that other humans and still wanted to be with him. It was like magic to him.
Once he had gotten all the tears out of his eyes, he looked back down at Lorelei. Resting his hand on her head, he combed his fingers through her hair. "Thank you, Lorelei." He started to lift her face some out of his chest, wanting to see her eyes again. Smiling brightly at her when their eyes met again.

Lorelei sat up when she felt Saint shift a little bit. She gazed into his eyes, glad to see they had cleared up a little bit. She smiled faintly at him and sighed. "Shit. What a day," she whispered. She gazed out against the lawn, noticing the sun about to set. "Wow," she breathed. "That's pretty." The sky was still light blue, but it was streaked with orange and pink and purple.
Lorelei vaguely wondered what time it was. She needed to do some homework, but she didn't really want to leave. Still, she had a paper due for Charms tomorrow that she hadn't even started. "Saint? I think I have to go..." she said, trailing off before she finished her sentence. She didn't want to leave, but she was going to have to. She stood up and stretched her arms up above her head, yawning. "Promise not to go away?"
